Welcome to Liam’s Legacy Athletic Association
Lionhearted Liam lights up the room with his love for sports. Whether he’s watching a game on TV or cheering in the stands at a professional stadium, his joy is unmistakable. It’s that joy—and the belief that every child deserves to feel it—that inspired us to launch Liam’s Legacy Athletic Association.
Our mission is simple, but powerful: to build a fully inclusive, state-of-the-art baseball complex in the Town of Hempstead on the South Shore of Long Island, where children and young adults of all abilities can play, connect, and thrive. At the heart of this dream is a Miracle League-style field—a safe, accessible, and welcoming space where no one is turned away.
This isn’t just about baseball—it’s about belonging.
We’re creating a place where children like Liam can shine, where families can come together in support, and where every child can feel like they’re playing in the major leagues.
Our fully ADA-compliant facility will feature:
• A rubberized, synthetic turf field that accommodates wheelchairs, walkers, and mobility devices
• Shaded grandstands for families to cheer in comfort
• A pavilion for team events and community gatherings
• Accessible bathrooms for convenience and dignity
• A state-of-the-art press box with video recording and full audio capabilities
• A huge digital scoreboard that doubles as a movie screen for unforgettable family nights
Safety and inclusion are at the core of everything we do.
Our buddies and volunteers will be trained to ensure that every player is safe, supported, and celebrated. Parents can sit back and enjoy the moment, knowing their child is in a nurturing and secure environment.
Our league is designed with fun over competition in mind:
• No outs, no pressure—every child bats every inning
• Every game is about teamwork, joy, and making memories
• Soft leather balls and a shorter field (50-foot bases, 125 feet to center) help every player succeed
• Teams are small (no more than 13 players), with dedicated coaches and Team Moms to support families
• Every player gets a uniform, a hat, and a trophy—along with the kind of memories that last a lifetime
But Liam’s Legacy goes beyond the game.
We’re creating a hub for connection—a community space where families of children with disabilities can gather, share stories, and celebrate every small victory together.
Too often, families like ours have to travel far or go without inclusive sports options. The need is real, and it’s right here in our own backyard. That’s why we’re bringing Liam’s Legacy to the Town of Hempstead—to make sure every child has the opportunity to play, grow, and be part of something special.
Because when we say, “every child deserves to play baseball”, we mean it—with no boundaries, no limits, and all the love in the world.
